For many patients, metal or “silver” fillings were the norm. Today, there are much better options to treat cavities and achieve natural-looking fillings. After cleaning out the cavity, we use tooth colored filling materials made up of a composite resin that is bonded directly onto the tooth. This results in a strong yet esthetically pleasing filling. We also make sure to match the color of the filling to the natural color of your tooth as closely as possible.
